Headache Medicine is the official scientific publication of the Brazilian Headache Society (SBCe), ISSN 2763-6178 and ISSN-print 2178-7468. The editorial board accepts manuscripts on headache and orofacial pain, as well as pain-related aspects that may have implications for headache such as methodological, theoretical, explanatory models, images, videos (for online version). Our scope covers clinical and experimental, qualitative and quantitative research.
The periodicity is quarterly, our goal is to record the academic contributions, the scientific production of the Brazilian community, Latin America, Portuguese and Hispanic countries, but also open to the entire world scientific community, the publication is done in continuous format.
We accept original articles in Portuguese and / or English, being published after the approval of the editors. Manuscripts received will be initially evaluated for the relevance and editorial focus of the journal, and will be forwarded for review by reviewers. With the review of the reviewers, the authors should modify the text or justify the maintenance, responding peer to peer the comments of the reviewers and the work forwarded to the journal. The final form should be published first online and then intended for issue, after final approval by the reviewers and editors.
Responsibility for the concepts expressed in the articles is the sole responsibility of the authors. Articles accepted for publication become the property of the journal. Only Headache Medicine editorials may authorize the reproduction of articles in another journal. The journal adopts a system for identifying plagiarism. Cases of misconduct in the publication will be evaluated according to criteria and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Headache Medicine is an open access journal and does not charge any fees for article submission, proofreading, translation and publication. All processes are performed electronically. Headache Medicine content is licensed under a Creative Commons (CC BY) Attribution 4.0 International.
Headache Medicine uses the LOCKSS protocol as digital archiving policy for document preservation.
