internet, embora a dependência virtual tenha sido inicial-
mente mencionada e associada ao aparecimento de trans-
tornos psiquiátricos desde 1995. Ainda há falta de
epidemiologia de estudos sobre as características clínicas
mais comuns da causa das cefaleias proveniente dessa
dependência.
Mais estudos prospectivos sobre essa associação são
necessários para obter uma melhor compreensão e defini-
ção da entidade clínica, observando as características das
cefaleias entre os pacientes com abuso de internet, classifi-
cando-os de acordo os critérios atuais da 3ª edição da
Classificação Internacional das Cefaleias (ICHD-3), e tes-
tando as possíveis condutas terapêuticas, inclusive para a
dependência virtual mediante os critérios da versão atuali-
zada do DSM.
