Headache due to external compression for helmet earing among policeman

The International Headache Society, in its 1988 classification1 has classified the headache for external compression as a kind of primary headache caused by external pressure over the frontal region or the scalp. In this article, we report the occurrence of this kind of head pain among 82 policemen, caused by the wearing of helmet and we analyze the characteristics of this headache, which may be misdiagnosed as tension-type headache and not properly treated. The headaches remitted after the dispensation of the helmet, which was used as a compulsory part of the uniform.
